What is an H-1B visa?

The five requirements to obtain an H-1B visa are:
- An H-1B visa must be available. There are 65,000 H-1B visas made available annually.
- The 2 parties have an employee-employer relationship
- The occupation must be considered a “specialty occupation”
- The foreigner must have the correct credentials and/or degrees in order to fill the occupation
- The monetary compensation of the U.S. occupation must be the higher of the prevailing and actual wages.
What is the application process for an H-1B visa in California?
The U.S. employer must first file a Labor Condition Application (LCA) with the Department of Labor (DOL). Then, the employer must also submit an I-129 form with the USCIS.
If the I-129 form is approved, the USCIS will give the potential employee further instructions to follow in order to complete the application process.

What is an H-2B visa?

What is the application process for an L-1 visa in California?
The first step is for the U.S. employer to obtain a labor certification from the Department of Labor (DOL), then file a Form 1-129 with the USCIS. Next, the foreigner seeking employment in the U.S. must file a Form DS-160 with the USCIS. Then, the foreigner may be required to attend an interview with a consular officer.

Although the foreigner’s employer generally pays for it, an L-1 visa costs $690.
What is an L-2 visa?
